Our company has process to run standard cost estimate for future date just to identify if any errors are there so that they can correct it before hand and ready for Annual cost run with minimal error.
We have a different costing variant for this purpose this is more of like analysys purpose as we dont mark and realese the cost estimate.
Question about the date control here
I know what a date control does kind of basics but not sure what it does please see attached cost run with one has current date and another has future date that is last day of year.

Questions-1 Why there is less material in option 1 when i select the current date or cost run around 77?
Question 2- Why there are more materials around 109591 when i slect a future date?
Question 3- What is the best practice to find materials with changes from last annual cost run?
