Its been sometime since I have been with SAP.
Now since the Lumira Data Geek 3 is in progress, I thought of considering myself in the Role of SAP India Sales head for some time and see some visualization and understand how SAP is performing in terms of the BW/BO licensing across India.
Due to the confidentiality of the topic, I thought not to disturb the Field services guy to get the actual data.
Instead I decided to create my own excel sheet, which has some very basic data for doing the Lumira visualization..
As said earlier, the motivation of this blog came via Data Geek ||| challenge.
Lumira:
Most of the top managers now want to visualize their data in the form of meaningful charts and maps.
Believe me, this guy LUMIRA is simply great.
The ease with which we can transform our raw data to maeningful visualisations/story board is simply amazing.
I thought to put my story under the topic "HOUSE OF DRAGONS:OUR BUSINESS PREVAILS"
Even though some features are really great like: " Connectivity to BW" : Publishing to HANA and so on, am not going to depth of the such topics.
Here we go and its as simple as that:
A basis study of the SAP BW /BO License and its attributes across our great country 'INDIA'.
1) Donut Chart:
Findings: We have maximum BW customers from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
2) Heat Map:
Questions in mind: Why am not able to bring more BO customers from Insurance and Telecommunications industry?
Do my competitors have some better visualizing tools for the insurance and Telecommunications industry?
3) Funnel Chart
Findings: Which are the Top 6 states where I have sold my BW7.4 license the most!
4) Tag Cloud:
Findings: Being a Product based company, I need to have a constant watch on how my partner ecosystem is performing! So let me see my partners who are involved in the maximum BO implementation Projects.
Hmmmm....I need to talk to the management of ‘Duster Technologies’ and understand what are the main challenges they are facing while implementing BO 4.1 for the customers.
I should also check with them what are the expectations customers are having from our BO 4.1 product!
5) 3D Column Chart
Let me analyze ‘Which State has maximum active users in BO4.1”
6) Pie with Depth Chart
Let me analyse the performance of BO state by state..
7) Network Chart:
Why am I not able to see the license to Large Transport customers and mid telecommunication customer.Oops, this is serious. Am going to call my Subordinates and ask them!
8) Bar Chart with 2-Axes:
Observations: I must now call the Sales Heads in Maharastra and Karnataka and ask them to look for some migration projects in BW and BO as I can very clearly see many customers in that region still using the old versions of the product.
Lumira is awesome. Try it out and you will feel the difference.
PS: I will try to include some visualization on the Geographic charts to this blog later.....
