Problem - New PR workflow - want to use class not BUS2105

Hi, in ECC6.0 EHP5 we'd like to create a custom workflow for PR's.  However, we'd rather use a custom class instead of a BOR.  Is there an existing interface that we can use in a custom class to access the functionality of the standard SAP PR BOR object BUS2105?
