Hi All,
We know that in 3.X BEX query variants were saved in table RSRVARIANT table. This table had Variant name and Query name as Keys so users could create same variant name for 2 different queries.
In Version 7.0, Were you ever able to use same name for a variant if they are built on 2 different queries? The variants are saved in table RSRPARAMETRZA table which only has one key as variant technical name. It simple means that this table cannot store a variant with same name for different BEx queires...If this is so...this is very annoying. Any inputs from your guys if faced any trouble with one and what were the workarounds?
Another problem is, if you try to create a new variant with same name but on different BEx query, it gives you message that old variant will be overwritten but it never does. It sounds correct that it should not overwrite any other variant with same name of it it is on different query. But why message of overwriting comes, instead giving a failure message?
Share the ideas please!
Cheers..
