Background
The Report has 3 Group levels and its Details section is suppressed.
Group Footer 3 has a Summary inserted under each column,
where each field above in the Details section is subject to 'SUM'.
Via Group Sort Expert I then added the group summary to the
sort expert. I have inserted Sort Controls over every column of data in my
report and bound them to the summaries.
I can now conveniently sort by Gross Profit Dollars or Total
Costs etc.
My issue, is the final column in the report is Gross Profit
%.
Unlike all the other columns in the report this column does not have any formula or field in the Details section. I
have simply inserted a formula in the Group Footer 3:

So it is differing to the other fields in Group Footer 3 in
that the field is a formula not a Group Summary.
Question:
How can I have a sort control work over this final column?
it would be quite useful to sort projects on their Gross Profit % whether up or
down.
I used Record Sort (as opposed to Group Sort for the other
sorts above) and added the field, I then bound the record sort using sort
control and the up/down arrow icon appears.
My issue is that when I clicked up or down on this Sort
Control, nothing happened. It appeared the last chosen sort on my other sort control
overpower this one. ie. before adding this sort, the descending sort on Gross
Profit Dollar column was selected. That sort seems to remain in control of the
report and my clicking on the newly added Gross Profit % sort does nothing - possibly it works if I go and delete out all the other sort controls but I haven't tried that.
Does anyone have any solutions?
